CALIBRATION FUNDAMENTALS FOR PHYSICAL PARAMETERS
This
two day curriculum offers essential training in the calibration
of temperature and pressure instrumentation specifically and
general information concerning balances, liquid level, pipettes,
and transmitter calibrations. The instruction is designed for
individuals with some knowledge of Metrology or general
measurement principles. The course includes basic parameter
theory, sensor technology, sensor selection, calibration
techniques, calibration standard selection, and reference
sources. The class will also include many “nuts and bolts” tips
to improve the productivity and repeatability of these
calibrations.
The course also includes a brief history of metrology,
measurement systems, metrology management systems and
requirements, and software.
