The Key To Your Successful Business: People
By Tim Walstead
No matter what business you are in, no matter what product or service you provide, and no
matter how unique or technically sophisticated you may be; one of the key ingredients for
success or failure in any business boils down to one
thing…"People" - Hiring the right
"People".
-Tim Walstead
"Our Place or Yours"
More than ever before, companies today are looking for choices, or quality-related options.
When it comes to inspection choices and options, we employ what we like to call an "Our
Place or Yours" theme throughout.
Our Place: Projects can be sent to our Accredited Dimensional Inspection
Laboratory to perform first article inspection, CMM programming, surface plate dimensional
layout, validation and reporting of data, PPAP, capability studies, and other dimensional
verification requests. Or…
Your Place: Our staffing professionals can assist you by providing the right
"People" to perform the required variable or attribute inspections
(and other quality and manufacturing related roles) at your facility, at your customer's or
supplier's location, or in the field, depending on the project.
In recent months, containment sorts and/or source inspection service requirements have been in
high demand. As more and more companies become leaner and meaner (doing more with less), the
Quality department unfortunately is one department that is targeted for cost-cutting measures
and is often simply viewed as overhead.
However, this does not mean that the company is doing away with quality altogether. Instead,
the quality function is often being divided up into different areas including the following: (1)
Maintaining their quality systems with a limited number of personnel; (2) Pushing quality
upstream to their suppliers, thus requiring their suppliers to be more involved with and
responsible for incoming and outgoing quality; and (3) Outsourcing various quality functions to
staffing/personnel services (i.e. QCIS' Staffing Services Division --
"People") and/or dimensional inspection service options (i.e. QCIS'
accredited laboratory).
People: Flexibility, options, choices, expertise (QA/QC/RA/MFG), best methods,
hiring efficiencies, cost savings, teamwork, working with the supplier or services company, etc.
That is the name of the game. These are just a few ways manufacturing companies are benefiting
from this philosophy and approach to quality.
As the manufacturing world continues to change, some
of the staffing options continue to change as well. An ever increasing number of companies are
finding that source inspection or containment sorting projects, supplier quality assurance
functions, quality system documentation and control, quality engineering and management,
dimensional inspection, and even reverse engineering are all options on the table poised as
possible outsourcing solutions to get the job done.
The qualifications of each person ("People") placed through QC's
Staffing Services Division is the direct result of our search process. We can assist you with
the clarification of your staffing needs by structuring job descriptions, developing recruiting
strategies, screening, testing and presenting qualified candidates, coordinating interviews,
assisting with job offers and acceptance and placement follow-through. You, the client, choose
from a group of qualified candidates ("People"), whom we present to
you, corresponding to your specific qualifications. Then you hire the individual via the
staffing solution of your choice (contract or otherwise) through our Staffing Services Division.
I encourage you to keep these things in mind as an option when you are looking to hire
"People" for your next quality assurance, quality control, and
regulatory affairs or manufacturing professional openings. Whether they are entry level to
executive, direct hire, option-to-hire, long-term contract or short-term temporary requirements,
"Our Place or Yours," we are here for you. It is worth noting that both direct hire
and option-to-hire choices lead to full-time regular employment (a.k.a. "permanent placements").
QC Inspection Services, Inc. with its three specialized divisions including quality and
manufacturing related staffing ("People"), dimensional inspection and
reverse engineering, and training and consulting -- all offered through one company -- truly
makes QC Inspection Services, Inc. a unique option in the manufacturing services industry.
Once again, the key to your successful business is the "People" you
employ. The bottom line is our Staffing Services Division is able to "come alongside"
and compliment your quality group, human resources team and manufacturing hiring managers'
efforts with our expertise as we work with you to attract the finest and best qualified
"People" to help make your business a success. Please click
