ONLINE TRAINING GENERAL DESCRIPTION
QC INSPECTION ONLINE TRAINING COURSEWARE...
...is researched and developed with the help of technical experts
from throughout the metrology community. Technical core content
originated from US Air Force Calibration courseware. In addition,
calibration equipment manufacturers and suppliers contributed
further expertise. We are grateful to St. Jude Medical, Fluke,
Mitutoyo, Omega Engineering, Troemmer, Mettler Toledo, Ruska,
Sturtevant-Richmont, Rosemont, Bruel and Kjaer, NIST, Datum, Endevco
and Rockwell DataMyte for their contributions.
...is developed using proven instructional design components.
At the start of each module, a brief tutorial describes how
the course is laid out. The learning objectives are clearly stated.
Key words can be accessed in an on board glossary. Topics
are selected from easy to navigate menus and sub-menus.
Imbedded questions are presented frequently to increase
retention. Engaging graphics, photos,
formulas and tables support text material. A Pre-Test
can be used to establish a base line proficiency level and a final
Post-Test provides proof of competency. Tests are
shuffled after each use. Most importantly, a certificate of completion
satisfies documentation requirements.
The approximate amount of time to take each course is 6-8 hours.
